It will encompass guidance on clarifying the board's role, addressing board meeting logistics, facilitating board orientation processes, and conducting assessments to enhance overall board performance. The program will provide valuable insights and strategies for effective collaboration between club management and the board.
Speakers
Denise Kuprionis, Esq.
Denise has 25 years of board governance experience for public, private, and nonprofit boards of directors. She served 6 years on the board of directors at Kenwood Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio, including two as president. Denise founded a board governance advisory practice where she works with directors on several boardroom matters, including facilitating the board's annual performance review and helping directors update their board governance protocols. Denise is a NACD Board Leadership Fellow and a Senior Fellow at the Conference Board's ESG Center.
David Voorhees, CCM, CCE
David has 45 years of experience managing private clubs of distinction, including the nationally recognized Philadelphia Country Club for 12 years and Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach, CA for 25 years. He has also served the industry as a presenter, author, mentor, and service on multiple industry association boards.
David's industry benchmark recognitions include:
