Since 2018, she has supported CET initiatives to help commercial and institutional entities develop recycling, reuse and food waste recovery programs. Abbey has six years professional experience in the solid waste management industry and holds a B.S. in Environmental Conservation and a certificate in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
CET implements and strengthens waste reduction, recycling, and food waste diversion programs for businesses and institutions of all sizes with a proven track record of success. CET's Wasted Food Solutions website includes a toolbox of resources that can be applied region-wide. Businesses may be eligible to receive CET's no-cost technical assistance for entities seeking to reduce and recover wasted food.
Additionally, CET administers RecyclingWorks in Massachusetts (RecyclingWorks), a free technical assistance program funded by Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, to help Massachusetts businesses maximize reduction, recovery, and recycling opportunities. RecyclingWorks can support businesses looking to start a new program, recycle specific materials, find a service provider, or simply explore waste reduction methods.
